Treat yourself to an afternoon of peace, breathing and deep reflection. During this special yoga workshop, you’ll find your inner self amidst the sounds of ancient music. The warm, meditative tones of historical instruments create a unique atmosphere in which body and mind can relax.
Whether you’re an experienced yogi or rolling out a mat for the first time – everyone is welcome. Just do bring your own yoga mat.
Let the tranquillity of the workshop linger during the subsequent concert by Gli Angeli Genève and Stephan MacLeod. The Bach cantatas for bass on the programme, including the moving ‘Ich habe genug’, will resonate even more deeply after this experience and leave a lasting impression. Ahead of the concert by A Nocte Temporis – featuring the rare opera Alcide by Marin Marais and Louis Lully – you are warmly invited to an inspiring Baroque dance workshop.
Under the guidance of an expert, you will be introduced to graceful steps, refined bows and expressive movements that were indispensable in French court culture. Discover how music and dance reinforce each other and together form the theatrical heart of Baroque opera.
No experience is necessary: everyone can take part. This workshop will not only let you hear the music, but also feel and experience it. You’ll enter the concert with a new appreciation for the elegance, drama and rhythmic richness of the French Baroque.

This can be found in the foyer of the Grote Zaal of TivoliVredenburg and is open every day from 10 am to 5 pm or around concerts in the Grote Zaal. At the meeting point you will also find buttons you can pin on, so you are always recognisable to fellow Ambassadors!
