Fringe: Duo Brioso

This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2026.

Cellist Violeta Mur and pianist Ayaka Watanabe are united by a shared dedication to historically informed performance. They first met in 2023 during a masterclass on Viennese Classical music in Montepulciano, Italy, where they had the opportunity to play together and immediately discovered a strong and unique musical connection. Since then, they have regularly performed chamber music together, both as a duo and occasionally in trio, bringing warmth, vitality, and sensitivity to their interpretations, always guided by their historicist approach.
