Fringe: Quiebros
This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2026.
Quiebros was founded in 2024 by Spanish harpsichordist Darío Cervera and French countertenor Virgile Pellerin. The ensemble brings together musicians of different nationalities around Spanish and French early music, contemporary works for historical instruments, and new interpretations of 20th-century repertoire. Combining music, poetry and theatre, Quiebros creates original dramaturgies that present early music as a living, contemporary art form. Since 2025, the ensemble has been in residence at the Fondation Singer-Polignac in Paris and is supported by Fondation Safran and the Nguyen Thien Dao Fund.
