Fringe: Alexander Thow & Augustin Cornwall-Irving

This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2026.

Alexander Thow and Augustin Cornwall-Irving began performing together in 2023. Since then they have performed at venues including Trinity College Chapel, Cambridge, Trinity College OCR, St Peter’s Belsize Park and St Olave’s, Hart Street. Their programmes explore the juxtaposition of the Elizabethan penchant for melancholy with the cheerful frivolity that both permeate the music of the English lute song composers, as well as delving into the continental repertoire upon which they modelled their craft.
