Fringe: Fatima Lahham

This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2026.

Fatima Lahham (1993) is a recorder player, vocalist and improviser. She studied on scholarships at the Royal College of Music in London and at Oxford and Cambridge Universities. She has performed internationally at venues and festivals including Wigmore Hall, Ambronay and Styriarte. Her debut album, bulbul, was released in 2022, exploring the nightingale, poetry and ideas of home. Her musical language draws on Baroque and Arabic music, natural sounds, field recordings and her voice. Fatima is a Hallsworth Research Fellow at the University of Manchester and author of Improvising Otherwise (2025).
