Fringe: Marta Gawlas & Natalia Olczak
This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2026.
This duo brings together traverso flautist Marta Gawlas and harpsichordist Natalia Olczak. Their collaboration is rooted in historically informed performance practice, with a focus on detail, musical rhetoric and conscious shaping of sound. Both artists have performed extensively across Europe with Cohaere Ensemble. As a duo, they explore an intimate dialogue between instruments, focusing on French and European music of the 17th and 18th centuries. In 2025, they recorded Compositrices, an album dedicated to 18th-century women composers, scheduled for release in May 2026.
