This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2026.

Antonio Pellegrino (1997) is an Italian cellist specializing in both modern and historical cello. He studied in Italy, Norway and Switzerland and holds a master’s degree in historical cello from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague. In 2022, he received a Fulbright Scholarship. Antonio has worked with musicians including Alfredo Bernardini, Catherine Jones and Richard Egarr. He won Early Music Vancouver’s Emerging Artist Competition (2025) and the Kammermusikwettbewerb “À tre” (2024). He has performed with ensembles including the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century and PRJCT Amsterdam and served as principal cellist of the European Union Baroque Orchestra in 2025.
