Rachel Doubijanski
Two centuries of history lie between William Byrd and Johann Christian Bach. Yet they share the same horizon: Byrd as an icon of English Renaissance polyphony, Bach as the man who brought a new, gallant keyboard style to London. Rachel Doubijanski is our hostess during this private gathering of pavans, variations, sonatas, and The Bells: Byrd's soundscape with bell tower and flying fingers.
