Phaedrus & Jonatan Alvarado
A gust of wind, fiery tongues, voices suddenly speaking all languages: this is how the story of Pentecost describes the coming of the Holy Spirit. Ensemble Phaedrus translates that vision into a concert programme in which the music literally breathes (again). Voice and traverso consort rediscover the polyphony of Josquin, Ockeghem, and contemporaries with improvisation and ornamentation. A concert as an experience in which you don’t know what you see, but certainly feel what you hear.
