Koen Cosaert

While John Dowland was conquering Europe around 1600 with melancholic chamber music, William Byrd was bringing the art of dance and variation to a climax at the court of Elizabeth I. Koen Cosaert – city carillonneur in no fewer than four Belgian cities – delves into the legendary Fitzwilliam Virginal Book and unleashes galliards, almans, and gigues on the equally renowned Hemony bells of the Dom Tower.
