Fringe: Cairn

This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2026.

Ensemble Cairn was founded in 2022 at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles by Veronica Samyn and Margaux Goubet, united by their passion for the recorder and its rich repertoire. A dynamic ensemble, Cairn brings together different musicians to explore music across eras, styles and landscapes. For consort repertoire, Maureen De Smet and Lysianne Vincent join the ensemble. Their programme Post(e) Alamire was awarded laureate status at the Première competition during FestiVita! in Brussels. In 2026, Cairn presented Alla dolc’ombra, dedicated to Italian music of the 16th and 17th centuries.
