Fringe: Duo Camea
This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2026.
Duo Camea is dedicated to historically informed performance of chamber music for traverso and guitar. Their repertoire spans the Renaissance to the Romantic era, with a particular focus on early Romantic music. The duo enjoys bringing lesser-known works to life, revealing music that might otherwise remain unheard. Their name, inspired by the art of cameo engraving and the jewel itself, reflects their artistic vision: uncovering the delicate, personal stories carved into the music of the past and revealing its beauty and relevance to modern audiences.
