Fringe: Duo Nysiak
This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2026.
Based in Lyon, Nysiak brings together lutenist Pierre-Baptiste Brioude and mezzo-soprano Ariane Le Fournis. The two musicians met at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon and quickly developed a shared artistic partnership. Nysiak explores repertoire from the Renaissance to the late Baroque, including traditional music and French chanson. Their performances combine theatricality, intimacy and sensitivity, while experimenting with timbre, aesthetics and poetry and creating innovative concert formats that move beyond established musical genres.
