Fabulous Fringe: Il Parrasio
This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2026.
Il Parrasio was founded in February 2024 at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague by musicians from Italy, Slovenia, Japan and the USA. The ensemble focuses primarily on Italian repertoire from the 17th and early 18th centuries. Since its formation, Il Parrasio has won both first and audience prizes at the Premio Bonporti and Legrenzi competitions, and reached the finals of the CIMA Competition. Selected for the 2026/27 S-E-E-MERGING+ programme, the ensemble is also a finalist in the York International Artists Competition. In 2026, Il Parrasio performs across five European countries.
