Fringe: Schranck Four
This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2026.
Schranck four was founded within the Early Music Institute at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. Four musicians, four independent voices and a shared passion for Culturally Informed Performance Practice form the ensemble’s core. Performing on various wind and keyboard instruments, they focus primarily on repertoire from the Dresden court chapel, preserved in the renowned Schranck II collection. Their performances are shaped by historical research and treatises, closely connecting scholarship and practice. In 2026, they were finalists in the international chamber music competition Première at FestiVita! in Brussels.
