Fabulous Fringe: i Passerotti
This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2026.
I Passerotti is an early music ensemble formed in The Hague in 2025 during a masterclass with Peter van Heyghen. The ensemble brings together Alexander Austin (harpsichord), Benjamin Lenzmeier (baroque violin) and Johanna Littger (recorder), all currently studying at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague. United by a shared passion for 17th-century Italian music, they explore the vibrant possibilities of historical instruments and ensemble playing. Their repertoire focuses on the rich traditions of the early Italian Baroque, combining historically informed performance with improvisation and a lively approach to early music.
