Early Music Carillon Festival

The bells of the seventeenth-century Hemony carillon form the resounding voice of the Dom Tower. As a staple of the festival programme, they will once again receive their own showcase this year, featuring both carillon luminaries and emerging talents.

The world-famous carillon will accompany visitors as they move from one concert venue to another – but be sure to pause for a moment at the city's finest listening spot: Buurkerkhof.

Also note that on Saturday 30 August, the Utrechts Klokkenluiders Gilde will ring all fourteen bells of the Dom Tower, including the mighty Salvator bell from 1505, letting their sound roll over the city. This grand peal occurs only a few times a year and is always a deeply moving and impressive moment.
