Fringe: Dialoghi Trio
This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2024.
The Utrecht-based ensemble Dialoghi Trio consists of the two violinists Nefeli Alexouli and Dionysia Kazantzidi, and harpsichordist Sevastianos Motorinos. The ensemble started in 2020 and is specialised in seventeenth-century repertoire performed on historical instruments, specifically in compositions written in the stylus fantasticus: a style that is free of form, providing opportunities for improvisation to the players. Dialoghi trio aims to connect their music with our contemporary environment while simultaneously drawing inspiration from research of historical sources.
