Fringe: Endovelicus Ensemble
This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2024.
The Endovelicus Ensemble consists of lutenist Vicente Morgado (2006) and violinist and soprano Mariana Gomes (1999). Morgado began his studies in renaissance lute at the age of five, and in the meantime he has also taken up the archlute and baroque guitar under the guidance of teacher Helena Raposo at the conservatory in Lisbon. Gomes studied violin at the conservatoire in Hamburg, a course she completed in 2023. She is currently continuing this education by studying voice. She has already sung in several operas, including Monteverdi's L'Orfeo, and has previously performed solo violin recitals at the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht in 2023.
