Presentation programme Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2024
Seville: five centuries ago, this Spanish city served as the gateway to what Europeans perceived as a new world full of opportunities. The Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2024 is entirely dedicated to the musical culture of Seville and its connections with Latin America. As usual, this summer offers an immense wealth of music for you to discover. From the spiritual repertoire of Morales, Guerrero, Peñalosa, and Victoria to the magnificent Baroque music that follows, with attention, in music and word, to current issues such as faith, race, and power. One of the artists in residence will be the Dutch ensemble that is specialized in these topics and genres: Música Temprana led by Adrián Rodríguez Van der Spoel will make an appearance three times.
