Fabulous Fringe: Lukas Hamberger
This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2026.
Lukas Michael Hamberger is a violinist specializing in historically informed performance. He studied violin at the University Mozarteum Salzburg and baroque violin at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Leila Schayegh, where he earned two master’s degrees. He has worked with musicians including Chiara Banchini, Alfredo Bernardini and Amandine Beyer, and regularly performs with ensembles such as La Cetra Barockorchester, Capricornus Consort and Los Elementos. He is a founding member of Girandola Quartett and musical director of Concerto arcus caelestis. He performs throughout Europe and has received awards and finalist distinctions at international competitions.
