Fringe: La Figuièra
This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2026.
La Figuièra is a young early music ensemble based in Basel, specializing in medieval and Renaissance repertoire. Focusing on music from the 12th to the 15th centuries, the ensemble combines vocal and instrumental works with historical or free improvisation and creative interpretation. Their programs often weave music together with poetry and theatrical elements, creating a narrative and visual experience. From medieval cloisters to courtly celebrations, La Figuièra brings the vivid diversity of medieval music to life, inviting audiences on a journey of rediscovery across time.
