Le Poème Harmonique
Le Poème Harmonique is renowned for concerts in which music and theatre blend seamlessly. Under the baton of Vincent Dumestre, the ensemble brings early music to life in a vibrant and compelling way.
For this programme, the musicians draw inspiration from 18th-century Venice, where processions and religious festivals formed an important part of city life. The concert alternates exuberant moments with tranquil music and combines folk songs with rediscovered polyphony.
The highlight of the evening is Vivaldi’s Nisi Dominus, performed by mezzo-soprano Eva Zaïcik. Her interpretation lends this famous work both intimacy and grandeur.

With an introduction by Annelies Andries (19:15 hrs, in Dutch) and a Q&A session (after the concert, in English), both taking place in the Fentener van Vlissingen Foyer (limited capacity)
