'They seem like brothers,' Gramophone wrote about Théotime Langlois de Swarte and Justin Taylor. The engaging violin/harpsichord duo draws packed auditoriums worldwide with unique explorations of both universally known and unheard-of early music gems. Twice already they have dedicated an album to other pairs of musical brothers. In this Baroque recital they combine the 'goûts réunis' of the Francoeur and Eccles families with the totally unique style of Henry Purcell and the Italian Baroque of Arcangelo Corelli.

About the performers

It was written in the stars: violinist Théotime Langlois de Swarte and harpsichordist Justin Taylor would carve their own niche in the massif called 'early music'. Both have already received many awards - de Swarte as Ambassador of the REMA, among other things, and Taylor as final  winner of the Musica Antiqua Competition in Bruges. Together they won a 2023 Edison Classical Chamber Award and founded Le Consort: an ensemble that sheds new light on the repertoire for trio sonata.
