L'Arpeggiata & Malena Ernman
Not a catalogue of artworks, but one of animals. Or better: a catalogue of musical pieces about animals!
With Terra Mater, L’Arpeggiata, Christina Pluhar and the charismatic Swedish mezzo-soprano Malena Ernman (in daily life also the mother of Greta Thunberg) take us on a journey through the beauty of nature. In this programme, you can hear not only nightingale, cuckoo, chicken and frog, but also the whispering wind and the roaring sea.
From Biber to Vivaldi, from English folk songs to Handel: this concert is a real Kunstkammer of carefully curated repertoire that lets nature sing in all its capricious splendour. L’Arpeggiata breathes new life into age-old sounds and connects the past and the present. Playfulness, poetry and passion come together under the care of Mother Earth.
