La Tempête
Who were the Sibyls, those oracular women who, from antiquity to the Renaissance, connected mankind with the afterlife? La Tempête delves into their mysterious world in this scenic performance that blends baroque music by Monteverdi and Purcell with Mediterranean folk music and contemporary compositions. In works by Alfonso X el Sabio, Cristóbal de Morales, Xenakis and Moultaka, the singers call upon the ancient prophetesses to fathom what they still have to tell us today.
