Stile Antico
The world's oldest story? Possibly. The most beautiful? Absolutely! For Stile Antico's Christmas chronicle, we are only too happy to make it silent. Britain's top singers walk towards the light in the footsteps of carpenter Joseph and mother-to-be Mary. They populate their colourful tableaux with songs from Medieval and Renaissance Europe: expressive soundscapes by masters such as William Byrd, Orlandus Lassus, John Sheppard and Michael Praetorius.
