Fringe: Tempera Mente
This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2024.
Tempera Mente sings music that tempers the mind and stirs the spirit, even centuries after it was written. Tempera Mente strikes a fine balance between individual expression and harmonious blend, with its singers performing both as soloists, and as ensemble singers. After playing together in many different constellations, Anna Bachleitner brought together this group of musicians from across Europe in early 2024. In its first projects, Tempera Mente explores its own musical heritage. Taking advantage of the many musicologists in the ensemble, Tempera Mente searches for surprising connections and fresh perspectives on rarely performed repertoire.
