Fringe: Miscelánea Ensemble
This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2024.
The Miscelánea Ensemble is an adventurous group with an unique identity, positioned midway between a folk band and an early music ensemble. The ensemble's primary focus is on exploring the connections between Latin American folk music and early music. They present repertoire that spans from delicate two-voice pieces to lively cumbias, where vocalists and instrumentalists interchange roles, and the entire ensemble engages in collective singing. A concert by the Miscelánea Ensemble promises a mix of intimate emotions and infectious, danceable, tunes that linger in your head for the entire week!
