BREZZA

Rinaldo, intimate
A hit from 1720 in a bijou setting: BREZZA revives Handel's opera Rinaldo in an intimate ensemble of five. The musicians, who won the Audience Award and the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht Prize at the International Van Wassenaer Competition in 2024, were inspired by a historical discovery in The Hague: opera hits by George Frideric Handel adapted by contemporaries into chamber music. BREZZA presents the grand opera in a pocket edition, in which the viola da gamba outshines the human voice.
