Fringe: Trio Aido

This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2025.

Trio Aido includes soprano Kaho Inoue and lutenists Simon Vander Plaetse and Talitha-Cumi Witmer. They met at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. The name means ‘to sing’ in ancient Greek, reflecting Renaissance and Baroque vocal imitation on instruments. Trio Aido performs repertoire for two plucked instruments and voice. They released their first CD in 2023, toured Japan, and performed in Europe in 2024.
