Fringe: Duo Corasio
This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2025.
Formed in winter 2023 by Eriko Nagayama and Alessandro Papa, Duo Corasio explores seventeenth- and eighteenth-century Italian violin repertoire on period instruments. They have appeared at Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht and were semi-finalists at the International Van Wassenaer Competition. Mentored by Richard Egarr, Ryo Terakado, and Carole Cerasi at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, the duo is supported by the Adriana Jacoba Fonds. Their name honours poet Pietro Metastasio, known as Artino Corasio in the Arcadian Academy.
