Fringe: La Tirana

Early music is hitting the road! The Concert Camper is a true concert hall on wheels, which we will set up at various locations around Utrecht’s city centre and in its surrounding neighbourhoods during Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2025. The music will be provided by the musicians of Ensemble Masques, the driving force behind the Concert Camper initiative. You will also hear performances by Fringe ensembles.

With the Concert Camper, we bring early music to everyone, fostering new encounters between repertoire, artists, and festivalgoers. A festival experience outside the traditional concert halls — surprising, accessible, and inviting.

In case of inclement weather, a ticket guarantees you a seat inside the Camper. In favourable weather conditions, the side of the Camper is opened, and the audience sits outside. Chairs are provided, but seating is not guaranteed.

La Tirana, founded by Pablo Tejedor Gutiérrez in London, explores eigteenth- and early nineteenth-century music. Supported by the British-Spanish Society, the ensemble has performed at St John’s Smith Square, the Royal College of Music Museum, and festivals in France. Highlights include a Spanish Embassy concert in London, featuring modern premieres of Iberian Enlightenment music for diplomats and ambassadors.
