Malgosia Fiebig

For her journey to high Baroque France, Malgosia Fiebig is joined by composers from the courts of Louis XIV and XV. The sensual sounds of Rameau’s ballet Pygmalion, where a sculpture comes to life, form the program’s beating heart. Marin Marais’ Sonnerie de Ste Geneviève, with its obsessive bassline, and François Francoeur’s elegant Violin Sonata in G minor gild this royal soundscape.
