Behind-the-scenes tour
When visiting Utrecht, it is impossible to miss: the Domtoren. For more than 400 years, this 112-metre-high pride of the city has graced the Utrecht skyline, while its bells have spread their distinctive sound over the city. The Domtoren has also played a central role during Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht for years – the Utrechts Klokkenluiders Gilde provides bell ringing and carillonneurs play daily concerts on the carillon. Unfortunately, the carillonneur often remains invisible and at high altitude, but during this behind-the-scenes look, that is a thing of the past. Under the inspiring guidance of none other than the city’s chief carillonneur, Malgosia Fiebig, you will explore the magnificent Dom Tower and get to know this musician and her instrument.
This tour is exclusive to € 200+ Friends and available on 30 August, 2 and 4 September.
