Myriam Rignol and her musical partners continue to tug at the frayed edges of the mysterious legacy of the Forqueray family. In addition to the fourth and fifth suites, we discover rare works by cousin Nicolas-Gilles. Passion and craftsmanship merge in a barrage of technical feats: a pure sound spectacle that explains why the dynasty’s oeuvre is still considered the most challenging repertoire for gambists three hundred years later.
