Fringe: Fluctus Ensemble
This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2024.
Fluctus Ensemble first performed in Brussels in 2023. Ever since, the ensemble has been working in depth on French chamber music. In August of that year, Fluctus made its debut outside Belgium, with a series of concerts in Barcelona and Tarragona (Spain) dedicated to the works of Baroque female composers. Fluctus ensemble also started two projects in which they try to bring the worlds of early music and contemporary music closer together, in cooperation with composition students at the Royal Conservatories of Ghent and Antwerp. Under the professional guidance of internationally renowned artists like Anna Besson, Xavier Díaz-Latorre, Philippe Pierlot, Nicolas Achten and others, the members of the ensemble are constantly challenged to push their artistic limits.
