Fabulous Fringe: Mariia Kurtynina
This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2024.
Mariia Kurtynina was born in 1998 in Znamensk, Astrakhan region (Russia). She has already gained experience in Russia and Germany in historically informed performance practice and is currently studying fortepiano with Prof. Jesper Christensen, Gilad Katznelson and Dmitry Ablogin as well as harpsichord with Prof. Eva Pollerus and Alexander von Heissen in Frankfurt am Main. Mariia Kurtynina was also a semi-finalist in the Chopin Competition for historical instruments (Warsaw, 2023). The highlights of the 2023/2024 season include two concerts at the Beethoven Museum in Bonn, the recital at the Saturday Chopin recitals in Żelazowa Wola (Poland) and a concert on the clavichord at the Haus Eller piano museum.
