Fringe: Bislet Barokk
This concert is part of the free fringe programme of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht 2024.
Bislet Barokk came together as a young student ensemble through the 2020 Oslo Early festival. As emerging scholars in their fields, the three musicians share a fascination with the meeting point of traditional music, particularly from Norway, and music of the Baroque and Renaissance. It is particularly the intersection of the new and the old where Bislet Barokk feels most at home. By exploring archives and sources, they bring rarely performed music to life again, and find new perspectives by combining early and folk music that is linked by time, affect, and harmony.
