Ensemble Correspondances & Lucile Richardot
While Louis XIV turned Versailles into a pinnacle of self-aggrandisement, the Swedish court under Gustav XI turned its gaze outward. The cosmopolitan Kapellmeister Gustav Düben turned Stockholm into a meeting place for composers from Dresden, Hamburg, Rome, and Venice, resulting in a rainbow of styles and genres. Ensemble Correspondances unveils sublime treasures from the Düben archives: a colourful collection of works with German, Latin, Italian, and Swedish texts, signed Johann Christian Bach, Franz Tunder, and Giuseppe Peranda.
